Mass Broadcast Timings

Throughout the temporary suspension of public masses from 14th March to 14th April 2020, arrangements have been made for broadcast Masses over the weekends in the various major languages and weekday Masses in English and Bahasa Malaysia. There will be additional broadcast mass in English on Saturdays at 6.00pm

Pastoral Letter from the Archbishops

The Archdioceses of Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Malacca-Johore have made the decision to temporarily suspend weekend and weekday public masses from 14th to the 29th of March 2020 as a pre-emptive measure to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

A temporary suspension for this period. All catechism classes, catechetical programmes, meetings, gatherings, formations, practices and RCIA sessions, events in church as well as in the BEC will be cancelled or put on hold during this period.

NOTE: This online facility is until 31st March only or until the celebration of Masses resumes in the Parish.


Guidelines for Funerals under Movement Control Order

(a) No public seven days memorial prayers at funeral parlours or at home. The family may perform their own prayers privately. Books may be made available by parish for family use. The family may receive visitors who will briefly pay their respects.

(b) Vigil prayers by the priest and funeral masses are to be conducted in the home or the parlour. This is limited to immediate family members according to National Security Council and MOH guidelines. The main Church cannot be used due to the prohibition under the order.

(c) Other public health precautions (social distancing etc) should be observed.

(d) All weddings in March and April are recommended to be postponed.
